Week 1 of 8. Start speaking like you mean it.

What is brand voice?
It is your personality in words.
It is how your brand sounds in every caption, comment, video, or email.
If your brand showed up to a party, how would it speak?
• The storyteller lighting up the room?
• The wise mentor with a quiet presence?
• The truth teller keeping it real?
• The rebel asking questions no one else will?
Why this matters for real human connection online:
When your voice is off or inauthentic:
✘ People sense it
✘ Your message blends in
✘ Your team stays confused
✘ Your brand feels scattered
But when your voice is real and consistent:
✔ You build trust
✔ Your content stands out without screaming
✔ Content creation flows
✔ People recognize your presence instantly
Quick distinction:
Voice stays the same. It is who you are.
Tone changes. It is how you adapt to the moment.
Nike stays bold. That is their voice.
Their tone shifts depending on the message.
Your action step this week:
Write down 3 to 5 core values your brand stands for
For each one, list 2 to 3 traits that reflect it
Think of 3 brands you admire for their voice and why
Write a paragraph that explains what makes your brand different
Do not overthink it. Just be honest.
Next week we will look at how to speak your audience’s language without losing your own. That is where connection gets powerful.
